Motivation and goal of the network
The vision of the network lies in the broad technical and economic use of hydrogen as an energy carrier in the sectors of freight and passenger transport on the road (truck and bus), and in rail transport as well as for the generation of electricity and heat for stationary applications as a contribution to almost Complete defossilization of these sectors by 2050. In order to achieve the vision, we (the network with its partners) specify a corresponding development roadmap within the network implementation. As a result, we want to start producing systems for the above-mentioned sectors by 2024 in order to make a contribution to CO2 reduction from 2025 to 2030. Common goals include working out promising technology focuses and corresponding development projects, developing business models and consulting concepts, practical mobility and energy concepts, support with the market launch e.g. via the EU program Horizon Europe and of course the further development and implementation of the innovation network as an innovation platform.
